David Allsebrook’s passion for health and fitness began when he first joined a gym aged 15 – he was immediately hooked. What started as a new activity quickly developed into an obsession, with a strict training plan and a nutritional approach to match.
Initially seeing training as a serious passion David was advised not to take it further, so he pursued other endeavours including obtaining a Master's degree in Geophysics and subsequently entering the business world. Having passed all the exams required to become a Chartered Accountant in 2018, he will become an official Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2019. However, David's love of the health and fitness industry and his self-teachings have meant he has frequently been sought after for advice by friends and family.
It was meeting Heather Pearson via an injury that inspired David to take his passion to the next level – in 2018 he became a qualified Personal Trainer. He is still increasing his knowledge of health and fitness on a regular basis via research and online courses. David will be writing regular monthly articles on health and fitness for 1body4life.
David spent several years playing rugby, swimming, competing in cross country running and triathlons. At 14 years old, he gained his black belt in WTF Freestyle Taekwondo after 7 years of training. David has continued to lead an active lifestyle and also enjoys reading and travelling.
